Kirsten Dunst opening Secret Door with Sofia Coppola
Virgin Suicides duo reunite
Director Sofia Coppola has cast Kirsten Dunst in her fifth feature film Secret Door .
Which fits Coppola’s pattern perfectly – every other movie that she’s made has starred Dunst, with the actress heading up both The Virgin Suicides (Coppola’s first feature) and Marie Antoinette (her third).
“Happy to announce that Kirsten Dunst has agreed to be in Sofia Coppola’s new film Secret Door ,” Tweeted production company American Zoetrope, which is run by the director’s father Francis Ford Coppola. “Script is still being finished. Stay tuned!”
No details regarding the film’s plot have been released yet. Going on Coppola’s previous work, though, you can bet it’ll involve a disillusioned lead character who’s attempting to find renewed meaning in life.
Dunst’s next film, Lars Von Trier’s Melancholia , will premiere at Cannes this May.
