Killzone PS3 - the story so far

That's Mr Zone, to you

Is it Killzone 2? Killzone PS3? Or just Killzone? Maybe E3 will let us know. Thing is, the nearly-excellent PSP instalment of the franchise - Killzone: Liberation - turned out to be Killzone 2, even though the name didn't give much away. Sony's hopefully going to straighten out this whole sorry mess, but hopefully not with a clumsy subtitle.

Above: It's not much for us to go on, but at least it's taken directly from a level within the game.

Does anyone still care about Killzone?

Definitely, it would seem. Killzone PS3 has been voted top in a GameTrailers.com poll to decide the ten most anticipated games of E3. Despite today's Killzone PS3 screenshot containing all the energy and excitement of a nursing home, many seem to dig it. Then again, this is the internet, and so even a blade of grass in a carrier bag can earn itself a wealth of fans, detractors, blogs and LOLcat lampoons in the space of an afternoon.

So. Tell you what. Pop back later, when the Games Radar team - currently dug into the trenches at E3 - will be playing Killzone PS3, and reporting back from thethick of itwith the latest opinion on one of E3's biggest titles.
