Kevin Smith backs up supposed Warner / DC release schedule
Rumours suggest seven films in three years
Kevin Smith has spoken out about rumours surrounding Warner's forthcoming schedule of DC titles, suggesting that reports of a planned seven films in three years chime with information he has received.
Last week saw writer Nikki Finke publish a list of titles and release dates for potential Warner / DC projects, with Smith now claiming to have seen the same list from a different source.
"I looked at [ that ] list and I was like, yeah, that’s what I heard, that’s what I was told," says Smith, explaining his sources by chuckling, "I know people, motherfucker".
Indeed, Smith is pretty well connected in this particular arena, what with his various comic-book connections, not to mention close friendship with Batman vs. Superman star, Ben Affleck.
Of course, he could be privy to the same misinformation as Finke, but it certainly sounds as though there's some weight to the rumours. That Shazam adaptation might just be happening after all…
