Karen Gillan joins Guardians Of The Galaxy
She'll play one of the villains
Guardians Of The Galaxy has added some more talent to its rapidly growing ensemble, with Karen Gillan signing on to play one of the film's villains.
Fans of Doctor Who will be well-acquainted by the Scottish actress's feisty charisma, although it will be interesting to see her channel that into a darker character than the sparky Amy Pond.
Naturally, specific details regarding her character are non-existent, although we do know that she'll be joining Lee Pace in the "bad guy" column.
The news comes hot on the heels of Glenn Close's recent addition as head of Nova Corps, with John C. Reilly also thought to be on the brink of joining a distinctly eclectic looking cast!
Directed by James Gunn and co-starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana and Michael Rooker, Guardians Of The Galaxy will open in the UK on 1 August 2014.
