Distressingly bland in visual, vocal and storytelling terms, it’s apt to have its juvenile demographic shrieking with boredom as it follows Justin (Freddie Highmore) on his quest to reclaim his grandfather’s sword and rid his kingdom of buzz-killing bureaucrats.
Everett and Banderas do camp and gormless respectively as nobles caught up in the tedium, while David Walliams is spectacularly unfunny as a schizophrenic wizard.
