Jurassic Park 4 is renamed Jurassic World
Set for June 2015 release date
Universal has made a couple of interesting announcements regarding its forthcoming Jurassic Park sequel, with the project getting both a new title and release date.
The fourth film in the series will now be known as Jurassic World , and is set to land in US cinemas on 12 June 2015, just in case that summer schedule wasn’t already epic enough.
Just how the title chimes with the plot of the film remains to be seen, although given how the initial screenplay was set to tell the story of a new park built on Isla Nublar, could this be an in-world re-brand of the park itself?
We’re assuming of course that that story is still intact, although director Colin Trevorrow is said to have performed significant rewrites on the original draft by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver.
Hopefully all will become clear now than a release date is officially locked in, with casting news likely to start trickling through in the next couple of months…
