Very little has changed from the next-gen iteration of Juiced 2; it’s the same game, just slightly cut down. But a slightly cut-down next-gen game has turned into one of PSP’s best. Featuring the same accessible and well-paced game structure from the PS3/360 version, the only major omissions here are the 3D characters, cockpit helmet cam, damage modeling and environment interaction. You still get the betting, customisation, variety of game modes and even online multi-player.
The tracks have been rejiggered too. They’re set in the same places but are slightly less complex, although they still have some alternative routes and big hills. The sound is revised as well, with the commentator much louder in the audio mix, so you can hear what’s happening to the other drivers as you race.
