Based on the pre-tween book series, Judy Moody follows the misadventures of a plucky third grader (Jordana Beatty) and her pratfalling Aunt Opal (Heather Graham) as they defy the inevitable lows of summer break by having the grooviest one ever.
Sadly, here “summer fun” mostly means bathroom antics. Puke, poo and pee, excreted from kid and animal alike, make up most of the running time.
The rest is devoted to screaming. Graham is lovely and Beatty a natural, but if you’re not seven years old, it’s one long headache.
