Josh Brolin arrested in bar brawl
Jeffrey Wright and others from Oliver Stone’s W get cuffed too…
There’s getting into character… And then there’s getting into trouble. Okay, so maybe Josh Brolin wasn’t hitting the sauce as part of his research while he shoots the role of George W Bush in Oliver Stone’s new biopic, but his most recent time in a bar landed him – say the news cliché with us, folks – behind bars.
Seems, Brolin, co-star Jeffrey Wright and some unnamed crewmembers were enjoying their time at the Stray Cat bar in Shreveport, Louisiana, where the movie’s being shot, when one of the crew got a little rowdy. The police were called and Brolin and Wright, among others, attempted to intervene. Which landed them in the slammer. Brolin was booked and posted bail that night – hardly the stuff of movie-making legend, but probably not the sort of PR Stone needs for the likely controversial movie.
