Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Olsen star in first clip from Oldboy: watch now

Spike Lee’s Oldboy remake has released a first clip online, featuring Josh Brolin and Elizabeth Olsen in an extremely tense confrontation.

The clip shows Olsen’s character rifling through some of Brolin’s personal letters, only for him to catch her in the act. And guess what? He isn’t best pleased at the breach of trust…

For those who’ve seen the original, the scene doesn’t give too much away plot-wise, but it does show off Brolin’s muscular intensity rather nicely. You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry.

Take a look below:

Both frightening and vulnerable, Brolin certainly seems to have the anti-hero thing down pat. Pretty tense stuff then, at least until the jaunty ET Online music comes in at the end.

Directed by Lee and co-starring Samuel L. Jackson, Sharlto Copley and Michael Imperioli, Oldboy will open in the UK on 6 December 2013 after hitting the US on 27 November.
