Joseph Gordon-Levitt approaching deal to produce, direct and star in Sandman
Working with David S. Goyer and Neil Gaiman
Joseph Gordon-Levitt has confirmed his involvement in forthcoming comic-book adaptation, Sandman , a film in which he could be lined up to star, produce and direct.
Deadline reports that JGL’s deal will see him follow up his directorial debut Don Jon by stepping behind the camera again here, with David S. Goyer and comic-book scribe Neil Gaiman joining him to produce.
Gordon-Levitt took to Twitter to announce his involvement, describing himself as “incredibly honoured to be working with David Goyer, Warner Bros, and Neil Gaiman on Sandman ”. He later added:
Just to clarify, folks. I've signed on as a producer on Sandman. The rest remains to be seen. Delighted you guys are excited. I am too! December 17, 2013

The project is currently looking for a writer to adapt the film from Gaiman’s run of the comics. Assuming of course that Gordon-Levitt is happy to leave that task to somebody else…
