Jorah has opened up about his Game of Thrones season 7 role – and it sounds like good news!
It says a lot that, despite the horrible fates of many in Game of Thrones, Jorah is consistently the most pathetic and utterly broken character throughout the show’s run. It didn’t help that he contracted greyscale and, with that clock ticking down, Daenerys has ordered him to find a cure. Will he? Actor Iain Glen – who plays Jorah – sounds quietly optimistic of a full recovery...
Speaking to Winter is Coming, as reported by The Sun, Glen knows his time might be up sooner rather than later in Game of Thrones season 7 – but it’s probably not going to be the greyscale that gets him: “There’s quite a high death count in Game of Thrones and they don’t blanch at removing favourite characters. They just get rid of them in a brutal way. My end may well be close but so far I’m doing okay.”
He’s… doing okay? That’s definitely an upgrade from when we last left him, slowly dying from greyscale and emotionally crippled from overexposure to the friend zone. Anyways, reading between the lines, someone who has greyscale definitely wouldn’t describe themselves as ‘okay’… right? That stuff will kill you. And quick.
We already knew that Jorah was returning in Game of Thrones season 7, and some behind-the-scenes shots (spoilers within) have hinted at a change in fortunes for everyone’s favourite mercenary. Praise be to the (season) Seven!
