Jonah Hill is working on R-rated 3D animation
“Imagine if Shrek was R-rated”
Jonah Hill has spoken up about a new CGI animation he’s got bubbling away that could be a Shrek for adults.
While out promoting Megamind , the Cyrus star revealed that he, Seth Rogen and Superbad producer Evan Goldberg are contemplating how to go about the supermarket-set comedy.
“It’s a 3D animated movie," he reveals. "Imagine if Shrek was R-rated, a very hard and aggressive R. It takes place in a supermarket.
“I don’t know if I’m giving away too much, but that’s something we’re working on. It’s pretty hysterical!”
Can we just say “yes please” and leave it at that?
With Hill turning into something of an uber-producer - he's currently shepherding a remake of 21 Jump Street to the big screen as well as comedy The Sitter - he seems to have acquired the movie midas touch. We're sure that would extend to an aggressive R animation.
