Johnny Depp rumoured to have a starring role in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them sequel
Let's take this with a pinch of extra magical salt - or perhaps Floo Powder - for now but Deadline is reporting that Johnny Depp will co-star in the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Not only that but Deadline's sources apparently confirm that he'll even have a sneaky cameo in the first movie that's out in cinemas on November 18. It will definitely add some authenticity to things if we get a look at Depp in the first of the five Fantastic Beasts movies on the way from JK Rowling.
Very little is known about the follow ups to the story of Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) and co but the action will apparently be moving from New York to Paris for the first sequel. We also know that we'll be following the story of the evil wizard Grindelwald, arch nemesis of Hogwarts headmaster Dumbledore. Johnny Depp can't be a young Dumbledore... Can he? I'll keep you updated.
Directed by David Yates and starring Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton, Jon Voight, Gemma Chan, Ron Perlman, and Ezra Miller, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is scheduled to hit UK and US cinemas on November 18, 2016.
