Joaquin Phoenix is one of Two Lovers
He’s teaming back up with director James Gray
Since helmer James Gray and actor Joaquin Phoenix seem to enjoy working together so much, they’re making sure less time passes between collaborations for their next movie. The pair previously worked together on 2000’s The Yards and this year’s upcoming We Own The Night, and Phoenix has just signed up to star in a new drama for Gray.
Two Lovers finds a Brooklyn man with a troubled love life - there’s the family friend his partners want him to end up with and the beautiful, tempestuous neighbour he falls in love with.
Gwyneth Paltrow is circling the part of one of the lovers, and if she jumps aboard, she’ll report to the set in November, when Gray will start shooting the script he wrote with Ric Menello.
