Jeremy Renner has been talking about his forthcoming schedule, and has revealed that he may be reprising his role as Hawkeye in the next Captain America film.
Captain America: The Winter Soldier was a heavily S.H.I.E.L.D.-centric movie, with major roles for both Scarlett Johansson and Samuel L. Jackson, and it sounds as though that focus may remain for the third outing…
“There are rumblings of Captain America 3 ,” says Renner. “I don’t know what’s going to happen there. I’ve got to find the time, man! I’m trying to stay home and I can’t.”
How exactly he’ll fit into proceedings remains unclear, but how Hawkeye and Captain America relate in the next Avengers movie might help clarify the setup somewhat…
At present, Joe and Anthony Russo are hard at work on the script for Captain America 3 , with the film scheduled to open in the UK on 6 May 2016.
