Jennifer Jason Leigh bags female lead in The Hateful Eight
Taking the role played by Amber Tamblyn in the read-through
Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight has bagged itself a new leading lady, with Jennifer Jason Leigh signing on to join the project.
Leigh will be appearing as Daisy Domergue, a woman wanted for murder who is set to hang just as soon as she is transported back to the nearest city.
However, the stagecoach carrying her and a host of similarly colourful characters is forced off the road by a blizzard, with the passengers forced to hole up in a secluded inn, as tensions steadily mount…
Domergue had initially been played by Amber Tamblyn in the read-through, with The Wrap reporting that Leigh beat the likes of Hilary Swank, Michelle Williams, Robin Wright and Demi Moore to the role.
Filming is set to get underway in Colorado on 8 December, with The Hateful Eight expected to open at some point in 2015. No specific release date has been confirmed as yet.
