Jeff Bridges could join Ryan Reynolds in R.I.P.D.
Would replace Zach Galifianakis
Jeff Bridges could be about to replace Zach Galifianakis in the movie adaptation of comic book R.I.P.D .
The Tron star is currently in negotiations to join the film after Galifianakis was forced to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
If Bridges signs the dotted line, he’d join Ryan Reynolds in the supernatural comedy, which follows undead police officers who are tasked with keeping the underworld in check.
With Red ’s Robert Schwentke attached to direct, it seems the long-gestating project is really just waiting for Reynolds to become available.
Reynolds’ time is currently being split between Green Lantern duties, as well as commitments to projects like Deadpool and R.I.P.D .
If Bridges signs on to R.I.P.D. that should definitely give the adaptation a boost – not to mention a second leading man who’s got a giant backpack full of charm.
