James Franco and Kate Hudson up for Lovelace biopic
Stars enter porn industry
Linda Lovelace is getting Hollywood into quite a fizz at the moment. Not only is the story of the porn star’s life being made into a movie starring Malin Åkerman ( Inferno ), another film about her life is also heading into production.
And this one sounds even more tantalising, with James Franco in talks to play porn photographer Chuck Traynor, and Kate Hudson set to play the ‘70s porn star herself.
Lovelace (real name Linda Boreman) made her most famous mark on the porn industry when she starred in 1972 film Deep Throat – though she later asserted that she was forced to perform the acts she carried out on-screen.
The role of Traynor would be a particularly juicy one for Franco to sink his teeth into, with the photographer accused of abusing Lovelace both physically and mentally.
“I literally became a prisoner,” the actress has said. “I was not allowed out of his sight, not even to use the bathroom, where he watched me through a hole in the door.”
Lovela ce is currently being written by W. Merritt Johnson, based on the Eric Danville book The Complete Linda Lovelace .
