Ivan Reitman says that Ghostbusters 3 is ready to go
Script is “really good”
Ghostbusters 3 plagued newsmongers all the way through 2010, as stop-start rumours refused to die.
Well, it’s a whole new year, and director Ivan Reitman finally seems certain that Ghostbusters 3 is finally good and ready to go.
Why? Well, he’s read the script, and praises it as “really good”.
“All the original characters have parts,” he tells Coming Soon. “As well as a whole bunch of new characters. It's got a really good story, this one, maybe the best of the whole series. I hope we get to do it.”
The director also took the time to discredit internet rumours claiming that Bill Murray has read and hated the script:
“He has not read a thing. There is almost nothing that is accurate online about that film.”
While we tend to disagree about that last bit (we try our best, honest), it’s at least promising that a decent script is now circulating, with Reitman clearly interested. Now where’s that green light?
