It's what ragdoll was invented for...

Friday 15 June 2007
There's no denying that the floppy-framed habits of ragdoll physics is a constant source of amusement, although we wish we could witness its loose-limbed magic in a few more alternative scenarios (ie not only when we're throwing grenades at enemies standing foolishly close to exploding barrels). Hurrah for Xbox 360 wreckage festival FlatOut Ultimate Carnage, then, which embraces the beauty of flailing, airborne bodies with such gleeful enthusiasm, as perfectly demonstrated in thislatest spread of shots.

Bodies on crash course with a windscreen, bodies tossed from the exploding wreckage of a pile-up, bodies catapulted toward basketball hoops, bodies soaring above the carnage of a FlatOut race... Good times dead ahead (ie next Friday, when the game's released).

If your eyes are hungry for more Ultimate Carnage, check out the game's trailer, which spoils us rotten with sparks and explosions-a-plenty, shuddering pile-ups, bouncing tyres, awesome cars and - yes - flying bodies.

I don't have the energy to really hate anything properly. Most things I think are OK or inoffensively average. I do love quite a lot of stuff as well, though.
