Is this Thunderbird go?
In what looks like a sneaky viral marketing campaign for ITV's upcoming reimagining of Thunderbirds , Hi-Secure.net has appeared online with a peek at what could be the new Thunderbird 2.
The website shows "stolen" video footage of Thunderbird 2's hangar door, which slides open to reveal a front view of the International Rescue workhorse aircraft. The doors then slide closed quickly. Various readouts and motion graphics are displayed in the margins of the frame.
The craft shown is unmistakably similar to the original TB2 as it appeared in the 1960s, which will should please fans of the original series.
Thunderbirds Are Go! is currently in production in New Zealand from Pukeko Pictures and Weta Workshop. The 30-minute episodes are scheduled to air in 2015, the 50th anniversary of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson's original show.
