Inglorious Bastards gets a name change
Tarantino’s war movie is now known as…
…Inglourious Basterds. What the hell, Quentin?
That’s right. In a move that only could come from the world’s most notorious ex-video store clerk, Quentin Tarantino has renamed his World War Two movie Inglourious Basterds.
The new title was revealed as part of a press release signalling the start of principle photography.
“One of those Tarantino-esque things”
When contacted about the name change, the UK publicist said to Contact Music : “We are not entirely sure the reasons why it has been changed. We think it just has to be one of those Tarantino-esque things. All we do know is that is definitely the title from now on."
So then: Inglourious Basterds stars Brad Pitt, Mike Myers and Eli Roth as a group of Jewish soldiers who are chosen specifically to spread fear throughout the Third Reich for brutally slaying Nazi’s. Our spell checker is going to throw a hissy-fit over this.
