Infinity Blade to go medieval on your iOS device this December

RAGE's App Store reign is about to be contested as Epic Games prepares to enter the iOS arena with Infinity Blade on December 9th.

After months of teasing iOS device owners with its "I-can't-believe-it's-not-a-console" screenshots, Epic Games andits subsidiary developerChairare finally ready to go live with the highly-anticipated action RPG for the iPad, iPhones and iPod Touch.

The game will feature a sizeable single player campaign set inside a vast castle wherein players must stick it to the God-King and his(?)demonicunderlings using swipe-based touch screen controls. It will also offer head-to-head multiplayer action via Game Center, the details of which will be explained closer to its release.

The only rain in this iParade is that Infinity Blade will only run on third and fourth generation iPod Touches, the iPhone 4 or 3GS, or the iPad.

Infinity Blade arrives in the App Store December 9th for $5.99.
