Idris Elba has confirmed that he will make a brief appearance in Avengers: Age Of Ultron , having recently filmed a scene alongside some of his fellow Asgardians.
Having spent the summer hosting a DJ residency in Ibiza, Elba reveals that he also took a brief break from the White Isle to link up with Earth’s mightiest heroes to reprise his role as Heimdall.
“I’m doing a scene with Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston,” Elba told the Telegraph , "and they’re like, ‘Aren’t you [ meant to be ] in Ibiza?’”
It’s intriguing that Elba mentions Hiddleston here, as we last saw Loki disguised as Odin at the end of Thor: The Dark World . Will his true form be revealed in Age Of Ultron ? And could this be what draws Thor away from his fellow Avengers and back to Asgard?
We’ll find out when the film opens in UK cinemas on 24 April 2015. Let the countdown commence…
