Idle-RPG, Mythic Heroes, is out now on iOS and Android

Between work and life it can be hard to find time for games, but this is when Idle-RPGs like Mythic Heroes are perfect. This epic mobile adventure combines the popular autoplay of games like AFK Arena, with a distinctive art-style inspired by comics and manga, and set in an enticing world filled with characters based on beloved myths and legendary deities.

These famous figures from across history and fiction each have their own distinctive design—whether we're talking about the fairy-king, Oberon, from Midsummer Night's Dream, re-imagined as an Elven duelist, or Dionysus, Greek god of wine, as a purple-haired pretty boy lounging in a giant goblet. As you explore Mythic Heroes' five campaigns, you'll assemble a five-person team from among these gods and champions, learning more about their individual stories and lore through unique encounters.

But that doesn't mean you're limited to only using certain characters. Mythic Heroes introduces 'auto-sync' levelling, a feature that matches your entire party to the level of your fifth highest hero, meaning you can mix-and-match characters for a variety of team combinations. You can also alter your formations to better utilise your Heroes' strengths and overcome difficult battles. These are just some of the ways that Mythic Heroes encourages smart, strategic play.

You can oversee every battle, or if otherwise occupied, use Mythic Heroes' Auto-Assault feature to send your team off on a campaign by themselves. That's the joy of autoplay—they'll gain experience and make progress even when you're not around. If your heroes do face a battle that's too tough for them, you can quickly swap characters and formation, so it's easy to dip back in for bite-sized moments of strategic micromanagement.

Iconic Weapons, Artifacts, Runes, and a multi-layered skill tree called Divinity, also adds emphasis on how you build your characters. The PvP Arena is the perfect place to try out these experimental combos, as you go head-to-head with players from across the globe. If you're feeling particularly ambitious, you can even try the Mastermind Arena, where you build four separate teams from your roster and pit them against an opponent.

But if PvP isn't your forte, or you'd prefer to fight alongside friends, you can also join a guild. These player-led alliances are a great way to meet people, earn yourself extra rewards, and even face-off against other guilds in Epic Showdowns—massive 30v30 conflicts that see you choose 15 heroes to crush an opponent's defence.

Many of Mythic Heroes activities involve using multiple teams, and this is one of the elements that makes it so unique as an Idle-RPG. Rather than sticking to a single party, Auto-sync levelling makes it more viable to invest in different heroes and experiment with how you combine them, which adds a lot of variety and depth. But in spite of this strategic dimension, this is also still a casual-RPG, and Auto-Assault means you can be as hands-on as you want, gathering resources and strengthening your characters even when AFK.

So, if creating a party of gods and champions sounds like a good time, Mythic Heroes might be the perfect game for you. If you do choose to try it out, you can get some special starting rewards by using the codes below.
