Hugh Jackmans Wolverine returns in X-Men: Apocalypse
Hugh Jackman’s involvement in the next X-ensemble, X-Men: Apocalypse is a subject of interest for both the man himself and die-hard fans. While Marvel has yet to chime in with official confirmation on the matter -- now they won’t have to, as a prop company has let the gigantic adamantium-clawed cat out of the bag. Literally.
KikaNY, a leather goods store in New York, posted a design schematic to Instagram with the caption “We were just asked to make a special duffle backpack for Hugh Jackman who is filming the new 'X-Men’ movie in Montreal." Here’s a screenshot of the post:
The snap has since been taken down, probably after the company realised the immense secrecy of Jackman’s involvement. Nevertheless, it definitely makes sense that he would return to play Wolverine after appearing as the mutton-chopped mutant in every X-Men movie to date. It’s likely that his screentime won’t extend past a cameo - especially considering the movie’s massive cast. Still, some Wolverine is better than none at all.
X-Men: Apocalypse opens on May 27, 2016. The final Wolverine solo movie is scheduled for release on March 3, 2017.
