Hugh Jackman talks X-Men: Days Of Future Past
“There will be more claws in this one”
Bryan Singer has been busy rounding up his old collaborators for X-Men: Days Of Future Past , with Hugh Jackman the latest to confirm a reappearance after Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen were revealed to be returning.
Jackman has been speaking about his involvement in the forthcoming film, and from the sounds of it, he’ll have a bit more to do than he did in his (admittedly brilliant) cameo in X-Men: First Class .
“I did a three-hour, three-word cameo in the last one. It literally took me three hours," he said. "I have been talking to Bryan Singer about doing something in this. There will be more claws in this.”
The new film will feature a narrative that hops between the present and the future, with the young Xavier and his charges attempting to avert a timeline in which mutants are consigned to internment camps policed by the robotic Sentinels. Hence the scope for the reappearance of some of the original cast.
Directed by Singer and co-starring Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender, X-Men: Days Of Future Past will open in the UK on 18 July 2014.
