Hugh Jackman may be taking a Fantastic Voyage
Along with his Real Steel director
Hugh Jackman could be about to re-team with Real Steel director Shawn Levy for the 3D remake of Fantastic Voyage .
While James Cameron is producing the big budget re-do, Levy is calling the shots from the director’s chair – and apparently Jackman is his first choice for the lead role.
The 1966 original film followed a collection of scientists who shrink themselves and enter a colleague’s body to rescue him from a deadly blood clot.
This new version apparently includes a dramatic love story – and of course will be upgraded with top of the range modern movie technology.
Jackman and Levy reportedly hit it off so well during shooting of Real Steel that they’re keen to work together again.
And with Jackman’s schedule now wide open thanks to Darren Aronofsky’s departure from The Wolverine , this could be the perfect time to do it.
Real Steel opens 7 October.
