Hugh Grant leaves Lost For Words
He’s ditched the romantic comedy
Hugh Grant has parted ways with Susanne Bier’s latest – romantic comedy Lost For Words – because of creative differences.
Yes, just when we thought we were done with actors leaving films, Grant has decided that the movie wasn’t working for him, according to Variety.
The film finds a British actor hired to star in a film for a Chinese-speaking director (Ziyi Zhang). But after a brief flirtation with her translator, he falls in love with his helmer.
Going ahead
"This was a case of creative differences," said Grant’s spokeswoman. "They were not able to get a script everyone agreed on but it’s our understanding that Working Title is moving ahead with the project and Hugh wishes them well."
Yes, because Hugh Grant is a man who knows a good script when he sees one these days. American Dreamz, anyone?
