The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power season 1 has officially come to an end. Across eight episodes, the show – which premiered on September 1, and is set in the Second Age of Tolkien's fantasy world – covered the origins of Mordor, the forging of the titular finger adornments, and Middle-earth's disjointed rally against a supposedly dormant Dark Lord.

In the reveal-heavy finale, which landed on Prime Video on October 14, we learned the true identity of Sauron, and maybe The Stranger too, so you're really going to want to catch up before you have those details spoiled for you.
