Here's why Harrison Ford is excited to play Indiana Jones again

A few years ago it seemed unlikely that we would ever see Han Solo and Indiana Jones in new big screen adventures, but Harrison Ford had other ideas. The legendary actor starred as Solo once again in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it was recently announced that he'll be bringing back another cinema icon in a fifth Indiana Jones movie. And he's pumped!

The actor was recently a guest on the Jimmy Kimmel show, and it's clear he's excited about returning to the role; "The opportunity to work with Steven [Spielberg] again, and the chance to revisit this character which has brought pleasure to so many people — not to mention me. It’s great fun to play this character, it’s great fun to work with Steven. I’m looking forward to it." Check out the video below...

Although he jokes about it, I'm a little concerned that Ford hasn't read a script yet. It's also more than a little worrying that said script will be written by David Koepp - the man who wrote Kingdom of the Crystal Skull a.k.a. the Indy film fans like to forget existed.

You have to assume that Ford has at least been given the cliff notes though, and it's good to see him so enthusiastic. Here's hoping it shows on screen when the film hits cinemas in 2019.

Directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Harrison Ford, the fifth Indiana Jones film is currently set to debut on July 19, 2019,
