Here's what you get in the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass
Battlefield 1 will enlist the French and Russian armies as part of its $49.99 / £39.99 Premium Pass, which bundles together the game's four planned expansions and some extra goodies. A product listing on the Origin store reveals that the first DLC expansion will arrive in March 2017.
The first pack will be titled They Shall Not Pass, a French battle cry from World War 1 inspired by a speech from general Robert Nivelle during the Battle of Verdun. The expansion will have plenty of source material to draw from if it focuses on Verdun, since the protracted battle lasted nearly ten months. We don't know when the Russian expansion will arrive or which military campaigns it might focus on yet.
On top of 16 new maps and associated operations and game modes, the Battlefield 1 Premium Pass will also encompass 20 new weapons, 14 special dog tags, and 14 loot-bearing Battlepacks to be delivered monthly starting in November 2016. You can also buy the packs individually, though Premium Pass buyers will get two weeks of early access to each expansion.
As for the current year of Battlefield-y things, the Battlefield 1 open beta will begin on August 31, and the full game will be released on October 21.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
