Here's how Ring Fit Adventure can help you focus in on training each part of your body
Ring Fit Adventure is a unique fitness game that's excellent when it comes to building up your general strength, stamina, and flexibility. If you find yourself looking for a more specialised workout, however, it might be time to check out some of the other features that let you use the game to fit your exact requirements.
Adventure Mode is the core narrative experience in Ring Fit Adventure, taking you and your companion, Ring, on a journey to save the world from the evil Dragaux. Many of the encounters you'll face are designed to train your entire body, as the different enemies you face will be weak to different attacks; some will take more damage from Leg Fit skills, for example, while others will struggle against Abdomen or Yoga skills instead. Combine those fights with the jogging you'll do between fights, and you're getting a great full-body workout.
If you want to target specific parts of your body in turn, some of Ring Fit Adventure's 23 different worlds focus more on some areas than others. Once you've worked through a world once, you'll be able to access the menu to switch back to it in future. If you want to work out your core, for example, you'll want to face Abdonis in World 6 or 14. If it's Leg Day, seek out Allegra in World 5 or 11. As you make your way through Adventure Mode, you'll be able to travel between worlds to shape it perfectly to that day's workout.
Once you've checked out Adventure Mode, the next best place to look is Quick Play mode. Here, you'll find workouts dedicated not just to specific areas of your body like legs or chest, but individual muscle groups. Want to build your biceps? The Bow Pull and Overhead Press in the Upper Arms workout is ideal. Focusing on flexibility or crunching your core? There are pre-made workouts for those too, as well as those designed to boost your stamina, aerobic abilities, or even improve your posture. Even better, if you want to target something specific but don't want to work up too much of a sweat, or you're planning to really push yourself, you can change up the intensity so it's right for you.
If you've got to grips with the Quick Play workouts, you can head to Custom Mode to craft a personal workout. There are 43 different Fit Skills and 12 minigames that you can fit into each custom playlist, letting you focus on exactly what you want to work on. Put together your very own yoga class, or set yourself up for leg day. If you want to make your homemade gym class extra fun, let the minigames guide you (and compete with yourself to get your highest score). Train your arms with Crate Crasher or Robo-Wrecker, or focus on legs with Squattery Wheel or Thigh Rider.
With all this, as well as the Ring itself and an entire role-playing narrative for just £69.99, Ring Fit Adventure is an affordable way to get an entire fitness regime catered entirely to you.
