Here's how many Spider-Man: Homecoming scenes Tony Stark has (and you've probably seen them all already)
Spider-Man: Homecoming is web-slinging into sight with the second trailer having just been released. Weirdly, Tony Stark seems to dominate a lot of the promo material for Spidey’s big MCU debut. Sure, Robert Downey Jr. is a big name, but just how much of a shadow will he cast over the movie? One of the movie’s producers has revealed just how many scenes Tony Stark will feature in…
Speaking to Screen Rant (via ComicBook.com), producer Eric Carroll stated that Stark shows his smug mug in “like five or six [scenes].”
We’ve probably already seen most, if not all of the scenes in the trailers: there’s Iron Man and Spidey navigating New York in full get-ups, Stark giving Peter Parker a pep talk (try saying that whilst drunk) in the back of his car, Pete and Tony and Avengers Tower, Spidey having his suit taken away (plus an Iron Man appearance on the ferry). That’s five - but don’t be surprised if there’s another Stark scene or two tucked away in the movie.
Carroll also opens up about how Peter showing up has changed Stark for the better: “I think Robert is more like a big brother than he is a father figure because he picks on him and he is down on him quite a lot,” Carroll explains, “But then there is that level of him caring about him like his own, and Robert has really brought something lovely to the character. It’s a very different side of Stark than you’ve ever seen before.”
Happy with that amount of Stark – especially after he wriggled his way into Captain America: Civil War? Let us know in the comments!
