How to farm Super Credits in Helldivers 2
Collect Super Credits in Helldivers 2 can be farmed for Warbonds and armor purchases
You need to get Helldivers 2 Super Credits if you want to buy Warbonds and get new armor from the Superstore, but you can either find them or buy them with real money. Looting Super Credits during missions can be quite slow going and relies a lot on luck, but there is a good farming strategy if you’re willing to put in the time and have a friend or three to help. That means you don't have to spend a penny in Helldivers 2, but the in-game store option is there. Here’s everything you need to know about finding Super Credits in Helldivers 2, including a farming method that should help you get a good amount quickly.
Where to find Super Credits in Helldivers 2
Super Credits in Helldivers 2 can be looted from sealed pods, locked containers, and bunkers at Minor Points of Interest found all over any map. As far as I can tell, Super Credits always come in piles of 10, so you need to loot 100 piles to get the 1,000 Super Credits needed for a Warbond, for example.
Importantly, when you collect Super Credits during a mission, they are instantly added to your account and to the accounts of your teammates, so only one person needs to collect them. That also means you don’t need to carry or extract with Super Credits to be able to spend them, unlike collecting Samples in Helldivers 2.
The only other ways to get Super Credits in Helldivers 2 are by unlocking them in Warbonds with your Medals, or by spending your real money on them via the Acquisitions Center. There are 300 Super Credits up for grabs in each premium Warbond (though they’re split into three piles of 100 credits) or you can buy varying amounts of credits using real money – 1,000 SC costs $9.99/£7.99 in the in-game store, which is enough to get you one of the Warbonds or a few armor items.
How to farm Helldivers 2 Super Credits
If you really want to farm Super Credits to help you get enough for the next Warbond or an armor set that's currently in the Superstore, the best thing to do is play Trivial difficulty missions over and over. Complete the objective as quickly as possible, then focus solely on exploring the map, hunting down Minor Points of Interest for Super Credits before extracting.
With the maps being so small on Trivial, looting shouldn’t take you too long but having at least one squadmate will massively speed things up, letting you cover more ground at the same time. An extra player also means you’ll be able to open the bunkers with two control panels, and these are some of the best places to look for Super Credits because they have three loot slots, giving them a relatively high chance of containing credits – locked containers have two slots and sealed pods only have one.
Additionally, playing on the lowest Helldivers 2 difficulty level means these POIs usually have no enemies guarding them, so you can just run around looting with minimal fuss. As you explore, you’ll probably also find Medals, Requisition Slips, and Common Samples, but be aware that you’ll be getting barely any XP for completing these missions – if you’re trying to level up fast in Helldivers 2, this credit farming method is not ideal. There used to be an exploit where you could shut down the game mid-mission and then begin the exact same mission again and loot the same credits over and over, but this has since been patched.
What can you spend Super Credits on in Helldivers 2?
Now that you've hopefully got some Super Credits, you can spend them on Warbonds and exclusive Superstore armor via the Acquisition Center menu when you’re on your Destroyer:
- Helldivers 2 Steeled Veterans Warbond – 1,000 SC
- Helldivers 2 Cutting Edge Warbond – 1,000 SC
- Helldivers 2 Democratic Detonation Warbond – 1,000 SC
- Helldivers 2 Polar Patriots Warbond – 1,000 SC
- Helldivers 2 Viper Commandos Warbond – 1,000 SC
- Helldivers 2 Freedom’s Flame Warbond – 1,000 SC
- Helldivers 2 Chemical Agents Warbond – 1,000 SC
- Superstore Helmets – 75 SC – 200 SC
- Superstore Body armor – 150 SC – 400 SC
Be aware that after buying a Warbond with Super Credits, you must unlock the items in that Warbond by spending Medals. As mentioned, Warbonds also contain Super Credits, so spending your Medals on those can help you work towards another Warbond or armor piece. The free Helldivers Mobilize Warbond that's available to all players contains 700 Super Credits in total, while the premium Warbonds hold 300 SC each.
As for the Superstore exclusive armor, the store always features two helmets and two body armor sets at a time, but the stock changes every two or three days. These armor pieces can only be bought from the Superstore and aren't part of the Warbonds. If you see something you like, you might want to try and farm some Super Credits quickly to get it before it disappears from the store for a while.
