Haunting Ground: New shots
Screens from Capcom's upcoming 'tail' of terror and an interesting spin on survival horror
While busy , Capcom have also released some new screens for intriguing survival horror title Haunting Ground.
For anyone unfamiliar with the premise, the story follows the tribulations of unlucky 18-year-old Fiona Belli after she regains consciousness from a horrific accident and finds herself locked inside an old castle.
Capcom offer a unique twist to the survival horror formula by teaming Fiona up with Hewie, a white shepherd dog. As you can probably guess, Fiona's four-legged companion proves essential to progressing through the game.
The new screens show off some of the natty gameplay elements that are featured in the title.
Fiona can be seen hiding from the castle's resident looney-tune and persistent botherer, Debilitas (physically she's no match for the lumbering brute), while the advantages of befriending a hound are clearly evident as Hewie's killer animal instinct can be seen going to work on Debilitas' ankles.
We'll have to wait and see whether the union of one woman and her dog translates into a decent game but, hopefully, survival horror fans will be in for a real - doggy - treat.
