Italian actress Valentina Cervi cast in a major role -– minor spoilers
Italian actress Valentina Cervi, best known here in the UK for appearing alongside Rufus Sewell in the 2011 BBC mini series Zen , has been cast as Salome in the fifth season of True Blood .
TV Line describes her character as sounding, “like the love child of Russell Edgington and Maryann” (the two big bads from seasons two and three respectively).
She is apparently, “an ancient vampire who is a world class seductress and fiercely intelligent. She also has quite a lot of madness in her. She is the most powerful person in every way yet capable of hiding this power when it serves her purposes.”
True Blood season four airs in the UK on FX. Though we’ve yet to see season four yet. True Blood is also the cover feature on the latest issue of SFX .
