Warner has announced a release date for Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them , the forthcoming Harry Potter spin-off based on the book by J.K. Rowling.
The new film will open in the US on 18 November 2016, and was recently revealed to be the first film in a newly-planned trilogy of spin-off adventures.
Set 70 years prior to the events of the main Harry Potter narrative, the new film will follow the exploits of Newt Scamander, a renowned "magizoologist" or "expert in magical creatures" to you and I.
The new film will be penned by Rowling herself, for whom the project will represent her first foray into the world of screenwriting.
No cast members have been announced as yet, but given the time at which the story is set, don't expect any cameos from Harry, Ron or Hermione. Dumbledore on the other hand…
