September 27 - The dust has settled and 30th Anniversary DualSense pre-orders have been swept off the shelves. Remaining stock at PS Direct has now been snatched up and I'm even surprised to see the colorway listing removed from the site. There are plenty of other retailers to check, though, with Amazon and Walmart having previously offered stock.

30th Anniversary controller pre-orders

Sony might be taking the first leap in the UK, but this is one of the few accessories that will be available via other retailers today - check these stores to avoid the queue:

UK:
Check stock at Amazon

PlayStation 30th Anniversary DualSense pre-orders kicked off yesterday and things moved particularly fast. The controller was the only peripheral available at wider retailers (everything else remain exclusive to PS Direct until October 10) so competition was particularly fierce. Sony was still offering the controller pre-orders last night, but has now run out of stock. At the time of writing, there are no retailers offering stock in the US or UK.

However, I'd recommend keeping a close eye on Walmart and Amazon. Both of these stores were quick off the mark yesterday, running their own 30th Anniversary controller pre-orders as soon as Sony opened its own doors. Considering this is where we've seen stock before (and the fact that Amazon UK has already restocked once) there could well be more on the way. Other retailers have jumped in overnight as well, with new listing pages appearing at Best Buy and GameStop in the last few hours.

Of course, this isn't the only PlayStation 30th Anniversary pre-order in high demand. You'll find plenty of gadgets heading to the shelves all in full retro stylings over the course of the next few weeks, as well as full PS5 Pro pre-orders as well.

30th Anniversary DualSense pre-orders in the US

Walmart | Check stock

Walmart | Check stock
Walmart has been showing as out of stock for a little while now, but I'd still recommend checking back here regularly. You never know when more DualSense pre-orders might land.

Amazon | Check stock

Amazon | Check stock
Amazon has had the retro DualSense listed since pre-orders broke, but it's currently unavailable. The retailer has updated the photography on the site, though, so there's movement here at least.

Best Buy | Check stock

Best Buy | Check stock
Best Buy has finally listed the 30th Anniversary DualSense controller on its site, after staying out of the race yesterday. This is still listed as 'coming soon' so keep a close eye out here.

GameStop | Check stock

GameStop | Check stock
GameStop has also now listed the DualSense controller but like other retailers it's currently unavailable. This listing only appeared later in the day yesterday, though so it's worth keeping in touch.

PS Direct | Out of stock

PS Direct | Out of stock
While PS Direct was a last bastion of DualSense pre-orders yesterday, the controller has now been removed from the page altogether. That's a little strange, I would have expected to see at least a listing for the device.

Amazon | Check stock

Amazon | Check stock
Amazon actually ran two rounds of 30th Anniversary DualSense pre-orders yesterday (that we caught). That means there could well be more on the way.

Very | Check stock

Very | Check stock
Very was briefly listing the retro controller on its site, but quickly pulled the page down (it was offering an Edge controller for £69.99 after all). If you snuck through to checkout within those few minutes then congratulations, otherwise this is one to watch.

Currys | Check stock

Currys | Check stock
Currys is a little slow on the uptake, with no celebratory DualSense models listed on the site just yet. That could mean there's a supply ready and waiting to go live, though.

Argos | Check stock

Argos | Check stock
Argos is another retailer that can be a little delayed in getting its pre-order stock on the shelves but outlasts others once it's rolling. That's because a lot of this stock is allocated by region, so you'll be checking your post code to see if you're lucky.

Game | Check stock

Game | Check stock
I'm a little surprised that Game is moving so slowly on this one. It was the first retailer to offer PS5 pre-orders back in the day and has generally been one of the first I hit for early orders. There's no mention of the 30th Anniversary on this site, though.

PS Direct | Check stock

PS Direct | Check stock
The DualSense Wireless controller is out of stock at PS Direct itself, after a particularly fast-moving pre-order day. The listing is still available, though, so more units might make their way to the shelves yet.
