Hang on, did Tom Holland just let slip that Spider-Man *is* in Avengers: Infinity War?
Tom Holland may have just confirmed that Spider-Man will appear in Avengers: Infinity War after years of uncertainty. Though he's clearly one of the rising stars of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the unique licensing situation for Spider-Man's film rights made his potential appearance in the next big team-up movie a bit less certain. If an excerpt reportedly pulled from an interview with Italian magazine L'uomo Vogue is accurate, that's no longer a concern.
Here's the relevant text from the interview, posted by a fan account from Italy:

Can't read Italian? Me neither. But this fan translation and good ol' Google Translate agree about the relevant part: both Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) and Chris Evans (Captain America) did a little team-up of their own to convince Marvel's producers that Holland was a solid choice to appear in 'three movies over the next four years', including Avengers: Infinity War. The other two presumably being Spider-Man: Homecoming and Spider-Man: Homecoming 2.

Big disclaimer: the interview hasn't appeared on L'Uomo Vogue's site so I can't directly verify it. Holland was notably absent from an alleged leaked casting call for Avengers: Infinity War, for instance. But other sources confirm the young actor appeared in the magazine's pages recently, and that cast list wasn't necessarily final. Hopefully we won't have to wait too much longer for official word one way or the other.
Directed by Anthony and Joe Russo, Avengers: Infinity War is due to arrive in UK cinemas on April 27, 2018 before opening in US theaters on May 4th, 2018.

I got a BA in journalism from Central Michigan University - though the best education I received there was from CM Life, its student-run newspaper. Long before that, I started pursuing my degree in video games by bugging my older brother to let me play Zelda on the Super Nintendo. I've previously been a news intern for GameSpot, a news writer for CVG, and now I'm a staff writer here at GamesRadar.
