Hands-on with Gran Turismo HD Concept
Your corner-by-corner guide to Sony's hi-def race sim
Above: Screenshots like these don't really do the hi-def visuals any justice at all
Running start to jump
Your first challenge at Eiger Nordwand is a high-speed leap. With the running start you can quickly build up enough pace to launch yourself from a sudden drop, just after the start/finish line. You need to hit the jump straight enough to ensure you'll have full control on the landing.
Try to drift wide right across the start/finish line, then line up to the drop. This will give you plenty of time and momentum to slowly move out to the left of the track once you've landed, and get yourself in shape for the first corner.
