We’ve located (with video!) everyskull, terminal, andEaster eggin Halo 3, and have inspired you with ourcollection of ridiculous stunts. The next logical step on our path to Halo 3 enlightenment is the crux of the Halo series: the multiplayer.

Halo 3’s multiplayer can be a frustrating experience for beginners. At one time expletives that would embarrass even thefilthiest dregs of Xbox Live spewed from between our clenched teeth at least ten times a match, and generally included the sentence, “But I pressed the [expletive deleted] melee button first!” But we persisted, and every time one of our limp, damaged bodies careened into a jagged rock we learned something. After countless matches (actually, the exact number is recorded, but we’d rather not think about it), it was the bodies of our opponents that were doing the careening.

These tips, collected from around the GamesRadar office, have propelled us from neophytes to MVPs. Consider them carefully, and if we ever cross paths on XBL, we’ll expect an epic showdown.

General Tips

Grab some popcorn - The theater feature can do more than capture videos of your awesome ‘nade sticks. Not only can you watch the strategies of the best players, you can fly around the level and discover weapon locations, as well as the most common routes other players take. Also take some time to study our detailed maps of every level.

This is my rifle - Keep your assault rifle equipped unless you have a good reason not to, otherwise you may be caught holding a short-range weapon when you need a long-range weapon, or vise versa. Your default weapon is actually quite powerful, and is effective at both medium and short distances.

Combine one-handed weapons for maximum damage - Dual-wielding can be very effictive if used wisely. A Spiker or Plasma Gun can drop your opponent’s shield from a distance, and a Mauler in the other hand will put them away with one more shot.
