Halo Infinite's technical multiplayer preview session is now live.

Just below, you can check out brand new footage of the Halo Infinite multiplayer technical test, courtesy of The Verge's Tom Warren. As the reporter notes, although the technical test is now live, it's restricted right now to the Training Mode featuring bots, and weapon drills, before the multiplayer component goes live later on.

It's welcome news that the Halo Infinite technical preview is going ahead as planned, considering developer 343 was actually considering delaying the preview session as recently as a few days ago. A community director at the studio revealed that the team had discovered "late-breaking issues" within the technical preview version of the game, and the two forthcoming technical test sessions could be delayed as a result.

Thankfully though, it would appear 343 had managed to overcome this hurdle, and the preview sessions are rolling out as planned. This first multiplayer preview phase for Halo Infinite, which is live right now, will be sticking around until a few days from now on September 26, until a second preview phase boots up on September 30 until October 3. It's worth noting that for each test, players will only be able to take part in certain windows - from 10:00 to 14:00 PT (13:00-17:00 ET, 18:00-22:00 BST) and 17:00 to 21:00 PT (20:00-00:00 ET, 01:00-05:00 BST) each day.

This is the last chance to play Halo Infinite early, before it launches later this year. 343 previously stated that they'd hoped to squeeze in a session or two focusing on the PvP aspect of online multiplayer, and if the development team barely just had time to fit in these two sessions, we probably can't expect anything else after this. Halo Infinite launches later this year on December 8 for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S, and will be available through Xbox Game Pass on day one.
