Here's everything you'll find in the Halo 5 Collector's Edition

We've known for awhile that there would be a Halo 5: Guardians Collector's Edition (and a spendy one at that, with a pricetag of $250/£200), but it wasn't until E3 2015 that we found out what would be in the thing. In keeping with the tradition of raising more questions than it answers, there's a few items in here that we know almost nothing about. Here's the full list:

Digital download copy of Halo 5: Guardians; Statue of Locke and Master Chief by Triforce;14 Premium Requisition Packs; Digital copy of Halo: The Fall of Reach animated series; Guardian statuette by Metal Earth; Spartan-themed steelbook; Locke’s classified orders; Dossiers on Blue Team and Fireteam Osiris; Xbox Live Gold 14-day trial.

You can see the statue from collectibles manufacturer Triforce in the header image above, but here's a person-sized version spotted on the E3 showfloor:

It looks pretty spiffy and Triforce makes some quality stuff, but I have to scratch my head at a few things. Why is there a steelbook if there's no physical copy of the game to put in it? What is this Fall of Reach animated series? What does the REQ bundle get you in terms of item quality? That last one might be of particular importance, especially to those who saw the news about Halo 5 microtransactions and want to know more. I've reached out to Microsoft for answers, and will update with what I hear back.

All in all though, it's a solid offering. If you've no more room on your shelves for gaming memorabilia though, a smaller Limited Edition will offer the same contents save for the statue and digital copy (which is replaced by a physical one) for $100/£80.
