Gwyneth Paltrow really has got the music in her; she’s thinking about jumping into a movie version of head-banging musical Rock Of Ages.
The Oscar-winning actress has been favouring music-inclined projects of late, having played a country crooner in upcoming movie Country Strong , and making a notable appearance in a second season episode of Glee (where she’s already set for an encore).
Now she’s been sent the script for Rock Of Ages . “I just got the script and I will read it on the plane home tomorrow,” she tells EW . “But it sounds like it could be fun.”
The film could also set the scene for an unlikely reunion, with Paltrow and her brief Austin Powers co-star Tom Cruise likely to rock-out Ages together. The pair cameoed together in the third Powers film.
No word yet if Cruise has officially signed on, though he seemed keen earlier this year. Someone might want to get him a box to stand on if he has to share some romantic duets with Gwynie…
