Guillermo del Toro & Cast Discuss Sequel Ideas For Pacific Rim 2

Pacific Rim is tearing into cinemas worldwide, and the film sets up an impressively detailed world in which humans take to enormous fight machines (Jaeger) to duke it out with equally enormous monsters (Kaiju) that have invaded Earth from another dimension.

Director Guillermo del Toro had previously confirmed that he was working on a sequel with writer Travis Beacham, which will depend on the box - office success of the first installment to get the go-ahead. That’s not to say there aren’t already plenty of ideas to explore though…

When we caught up with Guillermo del Toro and stars Charlie Hunnam, Idris Elba, Robert Kazinsky, Charlie Day and Burn Gorman, we asked them what they’d like to see in Pacific Rim 2 .

Naturally, the video will contain some spoilers for anyone who hasn’t seen Pacific Rim .
