How to get the GTA Online stun gun and taser your enemies

Knowing how to get the stun gun in GTA Online means you have a non-lethal option at your disposal, so you can take down enemies without finishing them off for good. This taser weapon has now become more useful than ever before thanks to the launch of GTA Online Bounty Hunting, where you'll earn significantly higher rewards for bringing in Targets alive and the stun gun is perfect for neutralizing them for easy capture. However, you can't just stroll into your local Ammu-Nation store to pick one up, as there's only one specialist vendor in GTA Online who you can guarantee has it for sale. With that in mind, here's how to get your hands on the GTA Online stun gun and what to do with it.

To get the stun gun in GTA Online, you first need to own and set up an Agency business with Franklin Clinton. The chances are that you've already done this by now, but if not then head on over to the Dynasty 8 Executive website and purchase an Agency property to get things up and running.

Once your Agency is established, go up to the top floor of the office and visit the Requisitions Officer in the Armory. Select Pistols from his list of available weapons, then scroll to the bottom of the list to find the GTA Online stun gun on sale for a cool $375,000 – which is quite the mark-up from the $100 it costs at Ammu-Nation in GTA 5! There are also the usual tint upgrades you can purchase to change the appearance of the stun gun, but those are purely cosmetic.

The other way to get the stun gun is to visit the GTA Online Gun Van, though this will only work if the taser is included in the weekly inventory rotation, so while it avoids having to set up an Agency business you do need to rely on luck for this method. You check my separate guide linked there to see if the stun gun is available this week, otherwise you'll have to wait.

The GTA Online stun gun doesn't have a particularly long range, only being effective over around 11m / 36ft due to the probe extending on wires to deliver the electricity, and it also takes 12 seconds to recharge between shots so this definitely isn't a rapid-fire weapon. However, if you land a successful hit with it then it should have the power to incapacitate your target temporarily, allowing you to capture them or get past to reach the next area.
