It’s a fairy tale story for new US show Grimm , as NBC grants the wishes of its fans and gives the series a second season.
According to TVLine : “The Friday drama has been a rare bright spot this season for NBC, which has seen nearly all of its rookie dramas — The Playboy Club , The Firm , Free Agents and Prime Suspect — quickly crash and burn. With its most recent outing, Grimm drew 5.2 million total viewers, but of significance is the fact that at last tally, it’s 18-49 age group numbers enjoyed the largest increase — 87 percent! — of any network series in DVR Live+7 data.”
Grimm , which stars David Guintoli as a man who can see the monsters who walk among us that other people can’t see, airs in the UK on Watch at 9pm every Monday. A much darker take on small screen fairy tales than Once Upon A Time, it combines police procedural elements with fantasy folklore.
