Heroes Reborn has confirmed another returning cast member from the original show, with EW reporting that Greg Grunberg will be reprising his role as telepathic detective Matt Parkman.
According to the report, Grunberg's character will have a "guest star arc" in the new show, although just how central that will be to the main narrative remains to be seen. Grunberg will not be the only familiar face to pop up, with Masi Oka and Jack Coleman also set to appear.
"It’d be great to use that cop character as an investigative tool to find new people with power," said Grunberg, speaking before the news was confirmed. "They hinted that they might use some of the old characters to move story and plot. I think the fans or whoever was watching the show before, which was the world, really wants closure." Heroes Reborn will air on NBC in the fall, with a specific date to be confirmed.
